Rewrote / refactored a lot of code to get this working. Feeling pretty good - I was always unhappy with the old code (for displaying the movement / rotation key hints), and now that’s gone. Like an albatross un-hung from ‘round my neck.
Well, that might be a slight exaggeration.
Fun fact: the ‘explosion’ icongraphic is just under five months old. It was originally meant to indicate damaged pieces, but was far too visually noisy for that; I ended up using the simpler ‘red star’ that you can see in some of the older screenshots. But I kept the explosion-star around, just in case it came in handy at some point. The ‘red star’ is no longer used, as I changed things about a month ago so that damaged pieces vaporize instead of lingering, but the explosion-star is back!
