End of 2011 Wrapup

The short version: I’m pretty much where Christine Love stands in her end-of-year writeup, except instead of releasing a quite good game this year, I released a couple of half-finished ones, and instead of being semi-internet-famous, I’m pretty much unknown.

But that’s more self-pitying than the situation deserves. I had fun with Unity at the beginning of the year; had a great time working with JaJitsu on Tick Tock Island [which I wish him the best of luck finishing!]; finally got the Ranger/Deliverance/Deliverance II itch out of my system with Chivalric [and, admittedly, the disastrous Chivalrous]; and now I’m working on Starhaven, which I’ve put 4.5 months into now. (Compare to Manufactoria’s 1.5 months, pre-launch!)

The reason I’ve felt confident enough to put that time into the game is that it’s a really good game, at its core. Once I actually got around to adding instructions, every single person who’s played the game has liked it! The release is something to look forward to for the new year.

There we are!
