Tools. (c.f. Eskil Steenberg)

Yesterday’s work was unpleasant, repetitive. Boring. I was doing the same things over and over again… which is incorrect! I am a programmer. Why should I repeat myself, when I can program a machine to do it for me faster and better?

So. I need a node editor, to draw paths for my little people. (Instead of doing each coordinate-pair by hand in code. Which is pretty silly.) And I’d like a dialogue-editor: a graphical display of each word/person/game-state speech-response combination. My productivity would skyrocket! It’d be amazing.

But that would be a pretty big project, so I might put it off for a little bit. The node editor is happening, though.

Manufactoria. It needs an update - there are several known bugs that I ought to fix, some of them major. I’ve been putting it off - I’d kinda like the next release to have something new, like added levels or a Malevolence Engine. (Per Nix, from the xkcd fora.)

Shouldn’t do that forever, though.

(Still haven’t looked at that Formspring.)
